Now why haven’t I seen any pictures of that adorkable outfit?

He definitely still had a bit of that Southern twang. Probably a bit of a leftover from Straw Dogs filming? It makes me a little bit sad because I find his “real” accent really hot, but it’s also really cute that he gets so into his characters.

Also, the hair twirling? This man kills me. So adorable!

I’d completely forgotten that season 2 is due to start in the UK this month. It’s still very much an underground cult phenomenon here. It’s not caught on mainstream like in the U.S. Needless to say, I think Alex could have a pint at my local without being mobbed.

That’s funny you say that imdtm24 because I was thinking he’s sounding more and more like a Yank.

He is so intense when he talks about his work, he has a passion in his voice . I hear the Southern Accent slipping out too.

I think the UK is in a similar position to the US was when they were waiting for season 2. Lots and lots of people have discovered the show now – some early on FX, some later on Channel 4, and a whole load of people who have picked up the books now too. I think the buzz about season 2 will be much much bigger, and Alex will get a lot more attention as Eric gets more screen time. I’m just waiting for all my season 1-watching Team Bill friends to see what I have and make the switch to Team Eric. It’s bound to happen!
