This disaster has highlighted just how poor the country is. They had little infrestructure and resources for dealing with a disaster like this. That the medical recovery of people there will take months means that they have the opportunity to set up better health care once the immediate crisis is over. Perhaps there is a chance for every day life to improve once the immediate repurcussions of this disaster have been dealt with, and not just from a medical perspective. I'm in no way dismissing the tradgedy of the events in Haiti but hoping that long term good may come of it. It may not go specifically to this cause but it will go to those that need it. :) It took a week to get sorted as I forgot the security question for internet banking, darn it. My favourite things change every week except for certain actors. That's never been a security question.
